Respect The Mic

The assignment

Make submission feel distinctive while collecting the material needed to evaluate, introduce, and promote participating artists.

Our contribution

Strategy, presentation design, and project development.

Road To Austin reframes music-video submission as a screening-room experience with a clear artist journey.

What the evidence supports

The HTML documents a landing and submission prototype. It does not establish that entries were received, an event occurred, or a participant won an Austin opportunity. This case describes the design and intended journey.

How the work was approached

01

A screening-room entrance

The landing experience centers the music video and the feeling of entering a room. It avoids a generic application-first presentation and gives the participant a clear creative context.

02

Seven stages of commitment

The prototype breaks the entry journey into manageable steps. The intended output is a complete artist package and a personalized entry card that can travel on social.

03

Give discovery several routes

The Watchlist surfaces interesting entries. Director Credit makes filmmakers part of the discovery network. Bring The Room proposes tracked finalist ticket links while keeping box-office recognition distinct from the principal artistic award.

04

An operational handoff

The experience is designed around information the team can use for review and promotion. The website prototype demonstrates the submission concept; production integrations and event operations require their own validation.

HOW THE PROJECT IS ASSESSED

MEASUREMENT.
WITH CONTEXT.

  • Submission completion
  • Drop-off between steps
  • Usable artist packages
  • Entry-card sharing
  • Qualified audience registrations
  • Confirmed finalist participation

These are measurement categories, not a claim that every metric was collected or improved. Only stated, source-supported outcomes are treated as results.
